What happens when fashion abandons fabric? This exhibition presents garments constructed from or using unconventional materials, where plastic, paper, metal, and other found objects become the building blocks of wearable art. Freed from the expectations of traditional materials, designers experiment with structure, texture, and form to challenge the conventional and experiment with artistic innovation.

Have you made an outfit using bottle caps, recycled plastic bags, bandaids (not used), champagne corks, CVS receipts, cereal boxes or any other random material?  We want to see it! Please submit your outfit for the 2026 exhibit!
